Directions:

M5 to Exeter (Junction 31)

Then A30 all the way across Bodwin and Goss Moor until you get to the roundabout with the windfarm on it. You can't miss it! (about one and a quarter hours - quicker now the A30 has been improved)

Turn left at A39 to Truro.

Skirt around the outskirts of Truro following the signs for Falmouth (A39)

When nearly at Falmouth (still on A39), turn right at the ASDA roundabout up the hill (300 yards) to the small roundabout and turn left following the signs to Mawnan Smith

Straight through Mawnan Smith Village (to the right of the Red Lion)

Past Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens (2 miles) to the sharp right hand bend where you go straight on (sign posted Helford Passage / the Ferryboat Inn). 

As you go down the hill to the river turn right (red sign) and follow the sign for residents. There is a parking space for 16B at the right hand end of the car park.

Continue around the newly built 'Seashells' cottage and "Mussels" is on the right hand side going down the slope towards the beach and the river.
